It's so interesting how this glitch now looks like bouncing in SA2B. There's a very similar concept on switching analog angles like that. Also, what if instead of neutral sticking, you did a very slight turn to the right every other frame? Could you do smooth turns without losing speed?

Even a slight turn every other frame will still cause you to change your angle substantially more than holding neutral every other frame, sadly. And yeah, I didn't make that comparison but that is pretty similar to SA2B haha

Reminds me a bit of Prolonged Rocket Boosting/PRB in Mario Kart DS. Not quite as broken as that, but sorta similar in the conserving momentum from a boost aspect. Either way, nice video. Didn't know this sort of glitch was possible in Mario Kart Wii or that it'd work like this.

Can you please go into more detail as to what causes you to keep or lose speed? At the end you say something about wanting to _not_ change the angle you're facing, in order to maintain speed. Is there a certain maximum angle difference you can get before losing speed? If so, what is that relative to? (The angle you were facing when you started? The direction you are moving?) Also is that angle affected by other factors, like vehicle stats or the slope of the road?
