As if pressing 2-3 buttons from different distance would make someone anything different. Zoning was an MK thing since long before the reboot. Early MKX is the only instalment that made it irrelevant in favour of frame data kombat with hard 50/50 that was going on at the time.

The skill isn't in the zoning but in converting full screen pop ups and being able to effectively keep the distance / get distance once they get close
