Mileena being low-tier in MK11 felt like the most passive Aggressive thing to me. I can’t promise you that if I was in the developers shoes and I was constantly getting death threats over a video game character that I wouldn’t make her the worst character in the game out of spite. I’d probably have made her exclusive to the stadia version Just to rub it in.

Her projectiles were some of the best in the game and even in the slower-pace game that MK11 was, she was still one of the faster chars in the game. She was basically a runaway Zoning char, and because her projectiles were that good, she could've even counter some of the anti-Zoning chars. I myself ran into Scorpion players that actually were afraid to Teleport against her because how fast her projectiles and Tele-Kick were.

They are playable raidboss characters. Except raidbosses are meant to be oppressive, but have highly telegraphed and counterable moves. Difference is that as a playable characters, they no longer have the privilege of having a massive lifepool and damage advantage, whilst retaining all of their weaknesses. Hence why they are bad - they are amazing at low-level play, but bad against experienced players/speed runners etc. As any boss character would be

Comparing Shao Khan from MK9 to MK11 is the definition of “the boss character when you unlock them as a playable character”. But I think that’s a good thing since MK9 Khan was programmed to not spam moves that could infinite. I believe that’s why people find Shang underwhelming in MK3 compared to his original boss fight.

Me, a Shingo Yabuki player in King of Fighters, could only laugh seeing all the salt and anger from Mileena fans for their girl potentially missing only one game. In terms of mainline entries, Shingo was out for close to 20 YEARS after the release of XI. (Yeah, there were the enhanced versions of KOF 98 and 2002 but those are different.) Mileena fans could never survive that long of a drought.

I think the one thing that helps with Shingo's absence fron KOF XIII and XIV is that they had a story reason for it,one that made his return in XV actually pretty satisfying too. When they brought back Mileena in MK 11,it didn't just feel like a downgrade competitively,but also from a character perspective. You can tell that when they brought her back for MK 1,there was actual passion and care taken with her in that game,most likely because they weren't being harassed every five seconds

He missed vanilla MK3, but they brought him back for UMK3 and... well, he wasn't competitively bad, per se, but he was just completely outclassed by Human Smoke. Smoke's human form was just a better Scorpion in every possible way. Same special moves but much better combos meant that there wasn't any reason to play Scorpion.

Sub Zero freezes you once in MKDA, and can unblockable impale you, then zone. Cyrax isn't bottom 1, he's actually very good. Bottom 1 is Raiden/Sub Zero. But the unblockable impale off a freeze moves him up a little bit. Sub's overheads are non existent besides weapon s3. Like Cyrax, he has a decent weapon which allows him to win matches. Fast CS into Shotokan for punishing/staying near opponent.

I was hoping for mk11 Raiden to be on the list A consistent entry in all mk games with almost all of his moves in the game prone to counter hit this making him a high risk character to play with. @Los-0120 nope, he is the most inconsistent Eg. 1. Lighting Road Amp is supposedly to stunhit forward and back rolls when you hit the boundary of the circle but if you backroll , you won get stunned . On Amp Lighting Rod if you block any hit of Raidens pressure, you are plus on block to counterhit. Ref - Tom Brady made a whole video of this bug Sindel and Raiden have a similar customised move (Regal presence and Lightning Storm. Sindel is able to hover over any high attacks while Raiden get punished for it. Some of his safe overheads (f3 + 2 and b1 + 4 can be punished on certain situations even though you are atleast +2 on block. His b1,2 which is a mid followed by a high, misses in certain you opponents when you get them in the air which does not happen to most characters. Storm cell vs Sheevas Stomp : It doesn't punish all stomps and Sheeva can at time hit you rather than the Stormcell protecting you. If you want more, let me know. Been making him since 2020. 😑😑

And b14 has a gap in it crazy you mention gaps in strings when literally every character in the game besides kabal I think has a gap in their string. The regal presence and lighting storm move are two completely different things. Also raiden will slowly hover down a bit before the move will stop being active. I didn’t even say he’s broken so you coming with all this is wild. Relax and chill before you talk about the character you clearly main bud. Raiden once again is just balanced. Not too bad but not too good. He’s right in the middle wherever that is.

I think Sub-Zero had the highest combo % in MK9, but you needed to be in training mode to pull it off. I think it was 87% ? Enhanced special and finish with an xray. Definitely highest i ever got in MK9

Shangs not suppose to be good on his own. Thats why hes able to morph. He has some hand to hand combat skill, but compared to most characters hes not built like that. Hes a zoner character, it goes with the story of the character being a sorcerer

I looked up a pro MK3 Shang Tsung player... I want to throw up due to the amount of combos he can chain from the ground fireballs and counters he can pull off from morphing

I will argue this until I die but MK9 Jade would have been top 5 easy if she wasn’t so buggy. Also was so heartbroken what they did to my girl in 11, so boring to play.

MK4 Cage is for sure worse than Shinnok and Quan Chi. I think the next worst character near him is probably Kai. I also think Cage returned in MKT before MK4. He is not very good in that game either. That Meter Drain "glitch" in MK9 happens if you don't have the frames. Unfortunately, Jade's EX Glow only gets armor starting on the 2nd frame so she can be hit out of it.

Mk 11 got removed from my list because like mk 3 they removed my favorite. Only this time NRS did me dirty. They gave Kitana Mileenas sais and a few of her moves. That's the equivalent of removing scorpion and giving sub zero the spear. Its bad enough they made the younger sub zero scorpion in mk1.

Mk1 would have to go to Scorpion without the use of the kameos. - No overhead or low; specials - no safe regular specials on block - the 1 safe special: amp teleport cancel He's a catch your opponent whiffing character.

I'll be honest, if Mileena had been top tier in MK11 I'd be pretty darn miffed because of how obnoxious the Mileesimps had been going about their pet-peeve. It also provided a shibboleth of whether people actually like the character or whether people just want easy MUs.
