Thank you for the video, can you help me how to prove that is unbiased in this question? Question: Compare the average height of employees in Google with the average height in the United States, do you think it is an unbiased estimate? If not, how to prove it is not mathced?

A statistic is a function of some items in a sample (ie a statistic relates to the sample while a parameter relates to the population)

Thanks for the great video! At 04:50 you mention that mu hat is a random variable that is a function of the Xis, which would make it a statistic per your first definition. However, just after that you call it an estimator of the mean. Would be great if someone can clarify.
