imho What made the Indians sub par in postseason was the Cleveland drive for the 22 consecutive wins , modern MLB record, late in season . It took just enough out of the Indians emotional and physical health to make them lose in postseason playoff . I told my brother they are not going to get past ALDS after winning 22 in a row, and my prediction was correct-with a little luck, of course . imho if Cleveland concentrated solely on getting to the postseason they would have at least made it to the 2017 world series .
@aquila5196 жыл бұрын
Ymous Anon now that I think of it, that makes a lot of sense. A 22 win streak requires a lot of mental strength. Therefore the Indians were exhausted by the time they got to the ALDS. Pitchers probably were tired as well

In 2016, the excuse for Cleveland was that they were down a starter and had to go with a 3-man rotation in the World Series and thus, all 3 starters had to start on 3 days rest. Keep in mind, the Cubs scored 2 of their runs in game 7 off of Andrew Miller who had not been scored upon the entire postseason until the World Series. Now in 2017, the Indians had 4 starters available in this NLDS and Corey Kluber got to start game 5 on normal rest. But, Kluber in his 2 starts in this series pitched only 6.1 innings allowing 10 hits, 9 earned runs, and 4 home runs. He was (0-1) in his 2 starts with a whopping ERA of 12.79. So... what's the excuse this year Indians fans??

Had Judge not went over the wall in game three to rob Lindor of a 2 run home run in game 3 (NY only won 1-0) Cleveland sweeps there ass In a quick 3 games! At 6'7, I don't see any other right fielder making that catch. The tribe only lost that series because of Judges amazing catch. Baseball, truly a game of Inches 🙄
