The fact that the Indians had a 102-win season, won 22 games in a row, went up 2-0 in the ALDS, then choked again and blew the series in 5 games. I was hoping so badly for a repeat of 2016 with CLE vs. CHC in the World Series in 2017. And now I doubt the Indians will see another postseason run for another 15 years. And they'll choke again.

@@MikeNapoli1989 they seem to be trending in the right direction. Very deep farm that’s top-10, spent some money this off-season on good, solid additions (Swanson, Mancini). The pitching infrastructure is beginning to bare fruit with Steele, Thompson and others. They need star power in the rotation and in the lineup, though. I think/hope 2023 is better than 2022 and we win about 81 games with some prospects coming up and some getting to the threshold and 2024 is when we start to win again.

And now someone is going to dump two dump trucks full of money on Bryce Harper as this era of Nats Baseball will go down as one of the most agregus wastes of talent since the 2011-14 Detroit Tigers!!! You best hope that they can at least win A playoff series sometime this Century cause otherwise, you guys just going to be the new age Chicago Cubs. Except even more painful to watch.

There is nothing more fitting than that series ending with a Harper strikeout. The Cubs owned the guy, and the Nationals were being held back from the championship they were capable of winning thanks to his lack of leadership.
@fabioa7714 жыл бұрын
Did you watch the games? Every meltdown the Nationals had were Bryce's fault? Does he play in the infield? Is he a left fielder? Does he pitch? His RBI count? Tell me how lack of leadership explain the Cardinals meltdown in 2013. Or the bullpen giving up runs. Or the catcher getting picked of at first during a rally. Even if he went .000 in the playoffs, which he didn't, without all the stupid mistakes made by the other players the Nationals could've win with him. I'm a Red Sox fan but this narrative on Harper bothers me a lot.

Harper is still good unlike everyone on that 2019 roster besides Scherzer, Soto, and Turner. I swear that 2019 run was such a fluke
@fabioa7712 жыл бұрын
@@fatdingo8251 absolutely, Grisham makes the play, they're out in the WC game. I rooted for Washington that year since my Red Sox stunk, but I'm not delusional, they got pretty lucky. Howie Kendrick did everything he could to lose to the Dodgers, but out of a sudden he hits a slam and people forget. It took something that never happened before for them to win (the road team won every game in the WS), that's how much of a fluke it was. It was still awesome to watch, my problem is people saying they didn't win because of Harper.
