@@mrgiggly21 Yes, it is MLB's fault, and yes, the box pretty much is there for shits and giggles. That's a network box not MLB's box. The reason so many of these players and managers get heated is because they look at that box on their tablets in the dugout and see the inaccurate box. This is why a challenge system like they use in some AAA games would be great.

Umpires are there to manage the game. Coaches and players are highly paid even to respect rules and umpires decisions. If they don't accept them, it is absolutely fair to toss them out. It is called sportsmanship.

There are some really good umpires out there. Unfortunately, when an umpire makes a mistake it doesn’t significantly impact their ability to earn a living. Many un-established ball players aren’t afforded that same luxury. Install a merit based system to umpiring and the situation would improve.
