11:05 There seems to be an issue here. Why are scouts encouraging all pitchers to be high velocity pitchers? What happened to guys like Greg Maddux, who never had any above average velocity metrics, but was a deadly off-speed pitcher. Zack Greinke the same with pitches such as his Euphis pitch.

Your rationale behind the correlation coefficients are valid, but in econometrics you typically dont want to compare different single variable models due to collinearity. Better to use a multi-variable model but you lose degrees of freedome

its sadly true. due to pitchers throwing faster than ever and with the pitch clock they are overworking their arm/elbow
