Nothing says "These uniforms have been tested extensively" more than being able to see your balls through the fabric. Really seems like something that would have come up in the first five minutes of actual testing.

Nike screwed up the design but Fanatics made things way worse w/ producing them like the rest of their branded products: cheaply made and overpriced.

Nike’s design has kinda graded out average to me honestly. If the jerseys were the way they were last year I would be happy.

Honestly my biggest problem is not even that they tried to make the uniforms cheaper, it’s that they changed seemingly meaningless things. The smaller font, placement of the MLB logo, and belt loops can’t be saving the MLB that much money or really any at all.

What has planned to save money was contracting Nike Via Fanatics making uniform and contracting out all but Nike swoosh. You will see this issue happen in every league where Fanatics is also the only seller for fans and for players they have Nike who is going for cheapest option. NHL is going to have a similar issue but probably better since Nike head people are not yelling/whining on make it even cheaper as Fanatics is only brand no other working so basically problems on a poor fit, a slightly off color uniform/heat press, and slightly less durability is what will happen none of these other issues of making uniforms even cheaper. NFL has only Nike. Sure, Fanatics is making NFL fan clothing but the fact is there are enough other brands making NFL fan apparel Nike could not subcontract out work for players grade uniforms. Nike is also making for NBA but since Nike also sells via Fan gear here be it cheaper versions and Fanatics is only selling really cheap clothing Via Nike as are other brands selling on cheap end for Nike away from official NBA site so again does not make sense to have Nike Subcontract out.

I have not bought anything made by Nike in years. When the tag on the shirt or shorts say Large they really mean small to Medium. Its more breathable for sure but heck ist about 60 percent less material. Also, if you notice all of the players saying they like the new jerseys and pants are all sponsored by Nike. Looking at you Mike Trout

Nike made a mistake letting Fanatics make uniforms and Nike sew on swoosh to them. Soon for fans buying Chinese/Asian Knockoffs will probably become normal if they are better. We maybe even seeing teams doing same buying same Chinese/Asian knockoffs of old uniform brand only buying in bulk for season and putting a Nike logo and side sponsor on after removing old brands logo. Not cheapest uniforms I have seen, this goes to when Champion and Starter were making for top 4 Major sports leagues in early 1990's, everything was a boxy build and some screen on printing was failing in middle of a single game, mainly NFL. Eventually Champion figured it out while Starter had in one NFL Superbowl so bad of colors they had Black for Green Bay in the 1996--1997 season and NFC begged to also get Champion and ever since 1998--1999 season NFL has had one uniform sponsor in form of Rebok and later Nike where Nike made great form fit uniforms poor on classic style to point players have been switching to more form fit but sleeved models of form fit of those who used classic style.

What MLB did to the minor leagues is nothing short of theft. Write your Congressional Rep to remove MLB's antitrust exemption or what's left of it. Without it they cannot say what's yours is mine to a minor league team like they did.

Wow! Nike doing all that chancy material for MLB’s Baseball Jerseys? Bad enough that scummy Phil Knight of Nike helps doping Schools in the NCAA & Nike’s corporate office is in AWFUL OREGON! But now with Phil Knight & Nike doing stuff to displease Actual Major League Baseball Players? That is now all the more reason Phil Knight & Nike can’t be trusted. Since I’m not part of any media! This video's closer is better than Mariano RIvera. The thing about jersey's quality is weird. I'm not from or in the US, so I'm more used to soccer/football apparel, and there's always an official, premium quality jersey that players use and is more expensive (it is said that matchday jerseys are even better and aren't for sale), with better cloth, different fit, stitched crest, names, numbers, etc, and a replica quality with plastic fibers, stamped graphics and so on and so forth. Both are official products, both are authentic, and the premium, official jerseys never cease to be produced. I do not understand why MLB/Nike would do that and make everyone settle for the worst alternative.

It's really funny that they, say that they can make the faster and cheaper with the name and numbers by heat pressing on, like that is supposed to be better when they are charging $30-$40 more than what they were selling for last year. If these jerseys for fans were $90 or less than maybe it would be worth buying, but not at $174., good luck NHL this is your future for the next decade hopefully you have some demands before they are manufactured and distributed, if not there goes some of your income.

It seems that the goal of every corporation these days is to A) Cut costs (I.e., cheaper materials and labor) and B) Maximize profits (by raising prices). Usually both at the same time. So, jerseys and pants made outside the US with cheesy cloth and that cost 20% more than previous versions. Sounds about right. The really fascinating thing is that MLB teams each have player payrolls of hundreds of millions of dollars. They should be able to afford to outfit said players in custom-tailored Saville Row silk suits to play ball in. The cost of uniforms is a drop in the bucket in comparison to the salary of even their lowest paid utility infielder. Why do they insist on pinching pennies? I guess the love of money really IS the root of all evil.🤑

I hope people realize that mlb replica/fan jerseys haven’t been stitched since the last year majestic was making jerseys (2019). The back of the jerseys in 2024, saw the printed on stitching (which is not real) get removed. The fake stitching on the front of the jerseys is still there, and it’s not really fake, it just doesn’t go through the fabric, so we call it “foe” stitching.
