How many times have you seen a infielder throw the ball to first & miss his target by 10 feet? Pitchers throw many more times a game. Every once in awhile they have one get away. Instead of letting Terry go after the ump who made the ejection he told him to direct his anger towards him to avoid Terry being thrown out as well. Told him very clearly why they had to make the ejection, that the league wanted them to send a message that intentional beans won't be tolerated, that he doesn't necessarily agree with how MLB wanted them to handle the situation and he just has to do what was instructed, that he understood that his team felt like they needed to do something to retaliate, when Terry yelled "why don't we get our shot?" He told him you just had your shot and you guys blew it, directed him to the bullpen without having to touch him moving him away from everyone else so he can cool off.
