Skip is disrespectful. Derek Jeter is one of the best baseball players who is a part of one of the greatest franchises this sport has seen. This all stems from people's hatred for the Yankees. the fact that Steinbrenner and all the owners before him could afford the best players that money can buy never sat well with all the haters. To be fair Clemens didn’t just bounce back, he had a cy young triple crown season after he had won his last cy young 6 seasons Prior Jeter taking PEDs was impossible because he didn’t really bounce back, jeters season was only impressive for his standards and for his age He had a 740 ops the year before and had a 790 ops in the year in question and as his immediate decline into the worst player in the league the very next season showed that this slight and inconsequential uptick in his performance was just dead luck.
