A model is just “ assumptions about a data set” and you definitely have a lot of those assumptions, so I would say you definitely have a model. It is similar to what is known as mosaic theory in investing. It is a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Give yourself more credit, my man because more people should realize that you can win and be a long-term profitable better by following a similar theory approach. You can gather information from non-material sources and find an edge or draw useful conclusions. Don’t have yap about CLV.

When you guys were talking about closing line value, it honestly sounded like you were talking about different things. The professional bettor, he was talking about edge and used it to back up his claims or what he was saying multiple times. CLV vs edge are two different concepts, but you guys are definitely arguing about it as if it was the same thing. This professional, once he was speaking about the intricacies and answers of what he was doing, was quite clear that he is truly the professional. I’ve been an amateur bettor for a while now and I specialize in props. But I use models and calculate my own EV and combine it with Information from market sentiment. Edges calculated from average odds and average rate. The guy in the white shirt , I don’t know if he knows what edge means.

I mean generally speaking If your bet has clv it has an edge it's only in illiquid markets where they start to differ
