They do, just like football referees MLB empires who have a low rating during a season they don't get to do playoffs and world series games, plus are rarely given fox/tbs televised games, and sent to empire lower tier teams the following season.

Stupidest game ever when the broadcast shows the umpires are incorrect in their calls then throw out players for questioning obvious bad calls! It shows umpires don't know the rules of their own game and players don't know the rules either! This should be called Umpireball!

This is why there is video replay and this is why there are reviews and challenges. Teams should have the ability to challenge things like this. On the other hand, some umpires just don't belong in the Major Leagues and others are either money hungry or just plain stupid.

I'll never understand the managers arguing every little thing. The umpires have literally never changed their mind after an argument with a coach. I get that you're "trying to defend your team" but it's not the job of the umpires to listen to all complaints from the managers. There are umpires that would do a better job. Didn’t you see the perfect game the umpire got in the World Series, didn’t miss a strike or miss a call. Mlb needs to fire umpires for missing tons of calls or at least fine then money. They barely get punished. Most people at any normal job would get fired. Fining them money would actually make them even better and be more on point because they wouldn’t want to lose money. They are costing players money by ejecting them, so the umpires should as well if they miss calls
