In MLB The Show 24 the Yankees are World Series Champions for the 28th time in their MLB The Show history. Unfortunately in real life they were beaten by the Dodgers. I don’t understand how the Dodgers are so good and the other National League teams are so bad. But if the Phillies were in this past World Series with the Yankees then it would be a rematch to the 2009 World Series and the Yankees would be World Champions for the 28th time in their remarkable history but it is what it is and a big congrats to the former Brooklyn Dodgers (LA Dodgers) on winning their 8th WSC title in their 3rd playoff with the Yankees one in 1955 when they were still in Brooklyn at the time in Prospect Park Brooklyn, the next in 1981 when they were already settled in at Dodger Stadium in LA and now this past season. The Dodgers are my second desired team because of how great they are and how they had the great Roy Campanella and the great Jackie Robinson. Funny enough that the Cyclones added Jackie Robinson to their ballpark in Coney Island Brooklyn but they didn’t add the famous paralyzed auto accident victim and late former catcher Roy Campanella. This is the tragic story of the tragic drive home for the late great Roy Campanella: On January 28th 1958 after finishing his shift in West Harlem on West 134th Street and 7th Avenue, Roy Campanella closed up his wine and liquor business for the night and started his long drive home to Glen Cove New York. The vehicle he was driving was believed to be a 1957 Chevy Bel-Air sedan and during his trip home Campanella's rental car skidded on a patch of ice and hit a telephone pole and overturned at 180 degrees on Dosoris Lane in Glen Cove, New York. This auto wreck left him permanently paralyzed from the neck down. On February 23rd 1960 when many Dodgers fans came to see Ebbets Field’s last day in Brooklyn, the now permanently paralyzed former Dodgers catcher Roy Campanella attended the ceremony to be given back his original number 39 jersey that he wore from the time he was assigned it to the time he changed his number from 39 to 24. Roy was given a flower pot of the sand from the former sand diamond as a gift to say thank you for playing. If anyone was around during the Gary Sanchez and Jose Trevino eras on the Yankees they both honored Roy Campanella each as a catcher by wearing the two double digit numbers he worn during his tenure with the Dodgers (numbers 39 and 24). In the documentary of Ebbets Field’s final day, the construction contractors dressed a wrecking ball up to resemble a baseball to honorably demolish the late Ebbets Field. If you stand at Ebbets Field Apartments you’re standing on history for sure as well as walking passed the Ebbets Field Apartments because the construction contractors built these apartments in Ebbets Field’s footprint but the youngsters that live in there don’t fully know why it’s called Ebbets Field Apartments but they’re gonna be told the story of it and how New York baseball was changed forever in 1958. They’re gonna not understand at first because some youngsters don’t know who Jackie Robinson is until they see pictures of him, but they’re gonna think the Dodgers are only an LA team not a Brooklyn team until their grandparents and other grand folks in their family tell them about it and when these kids see the royal blue baseball cap with a white B that looks like from the Boston Red Sox and yes Boston and Brooklyn shared the same B because for both of them it was a popular font to use at the time but now is very unique and only seen on Red Sox merch today rather than Dodgers merch but the Brooklyn Dodgers merch is still there and it ain’t ever going anywhere as it is being preserved as historic/nostalgic merch and not as some type of merch the newer kids can’t accept

Wow, what an in-depth analysis of the teams and their histories! It’s always fascinating to see how past events shape today's narratives in baseball. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
