Not to mention Joe Kelly and Graterol our best bullpen options and oh yeah did I mention Max muncy been out a few months plus Mookie just got his hand broken the other week and he’s out for a couple months and through all that we’re still in first place. Not trying to make excuses but this dodger team hasn’t been at 100% all year and they still managed to ride the wave. Go Blue hopefully we get healthier and make a run in the second half 💙 ⚾️

Guardians fan here. I like the changes for the first round and I’m proud of how josey did. HOWEVER, we need the type of power hitters we used to have. I remember watching a home run derby when I was a kid that had Albert Pujols, Prince fielder, Nelson Cruz, Ryan Howard, Adrian Gonzalez, Joe mauer and Carlos Peña. The games missing those big bruising bats. Guards got a young one in johnkensy noel. Hope he pans out

That's a cool idea. First round is against your own division, 2nd round is the division winners against each other, final round the league winners face off. It guarantees an AL vs NL final and would allow some additional players to experience the All-Star Game who otherwise wouldn't get the chance. Only problem is how long it would take to have that many players bat. The first round would have to be shorter.

I dont want to take anything away from these hitters. It's not easy getting up there and clobbering a bunch of HRs even if they're exactly like the hitters want them. It's a good showcase of not only power but control getting the barrel on the ball. The best pure power hitters in the game didn't participate (guys like Schwarber, Judge, Ohtani) but I'm glad guys like Alec Bohm and Teo could be on display. They both have such raw explosive power.
