Varsho in left, Keirmaier in center, and Springer in right… I don’t actually doubt that that could be considered the best defensive outfield of all time. And by no means am I saying the Jays are the best team in the league or anything like that. Their offence stinks. But those 3 in the field are a force on defence.

Secretly there are a couple dodgers I like. Mookie(ex-red sox), Freeman and that's about it. They are a great team with many future hall of famers. But I like when they lose because it keeps reality a factor when in actuality LA should win every single game. Their pitching and hitting are 5 stars. Lots of comments about the Jays great OF defense... Springer's grab on the Pages ball was legit. Ohtani's ball was more of a bad route than an awesome catch. Same with Springer on Freddie's ball. They made the plays, tip of the cap for that, but better routes make those plays a lot less dramatic. Props to the Jays for making 3 runs stand up.

The varsho catch on Ohtani's ball wasn't a bad route, the ball just sliced back toward him. What made it a great catch was the adjustment at full speed, turning the body without taking the eye off the ball, keeping spacial and body awareness while doing so, and then not letting the impending contact with the wall affect his squeezing of the glove. The majority of mlb outfielders (the best in the world) in the same instance would have either stumbled or had the ball glance off their glove. Agree on the other springer one though.

The Dodgers should have won this game. None of those Dodger greats came through when they needed to get the win. It is unfortunate, but those things happen. You can lose a game on any given day, and this game was one of them. The Blue Jays played an outstanding defensive game! Kudos to them for their great playing.
