Let's be grateful for the opportunity to debate whether No. 1 is *the first-ever walk-off grand slam in the WS* (by an injured player) or *the first-ever 50-50 season* (with 6-6, 3 HR, 17 TB, 10 RBI and 2 SB, by a pitcher recovering from injury).

@@PotatoTaylorsVersion13You can argue he is the GOAT just because of his average results. He definitely doesn't have all-time counting stats because he came to the league later than most of his HOF peers, but nobody has ever hit and pitched to his level in the bigs. He can, in any given year, be a top 5 (or even top 3) hitter and pitcher in the league and win a unanimous MVP. When your average season results in unanimous MVP, you are very very special.

@@itzsunky7282 How can you honestly say that Ohtani didn't deserve it? I feel like people treat Ohtani like the freaking god of baseball and that's not cool, but he had a better season than Lindor easily. I knew that there would be a lot of people who think that #1 and #2 should be switched. However, I disagree. The reason: Freeman's was the result of the team effort leading up to it: This happened in Game 1 of the World Series. At the 11th hour, going into the bottom of the 8th inning, the Yankees led 2-1. Ohtani landed on third base (a double + throwing error), then Mookie Betts drove Ohtani home with a sac fly to tie the game. Freeman hit that unreal walk-off Grand Slam in the 10th inning. On the other hand, Ohtani's was a little more of an individual effort, accumulated throughout the regular season. One could correctly say that if it weren't for Freeman, the Dodgers would have lost game 1 (Then it was highly likely that the Dodgers would have won at home in Game 6). Likewise, if it weren't for Ohtani's 3 RBI and 2 Runs in Game #1 of the Divisional Series against the Padres (Dodgers won 7-5), the Dodgers probably would have gotten swept in 3 games, because the Padres won the next two games in the 5 game series.

I have to say this. No catch, caught in a baseball glove will ever be spectacular, or even great. It’s far too easy to catch the ball with a glove on. I see no reason why outfielders particularly need to wear them. Ps. The ball is hard in cricket (heavier actually). Only backstop and those on bases should be allowed a glove.
