Psychologically the Padres was their boss level achilles heel. Once they conquered that beast, their spirits lifted and they leveled up. But Ohtani never had that baggage, so he’s just pumping everyone up in every game.

That's only a fan's perspective, I'm sure there was a whole lotta confidence in the Dodger clubhouse throughout that Padres series. Also, a bit of a premature conjecture as well... almost over-confidently assuming that this Mets series is a done deal. The Dodgers STILL need 3 more over the hottest club since June. A 9-0 win, as impressive as it may be, still only counts as ONE in the series W column.

It’s incredible how the team analytics works in today’s game, the probability that Ohtani drives home a runner in scoring position is so high that the player before Ohtani bunts, that way Ohtani can get the runner in scoring position, he got a hit and it worked, That’s baseball at it finest!

They played so smart reminded me of the Japanese team during the WBC last year they had a strategy and didn’t need to go for home runs just needed to ensure they got runs at every chance they could. Also I like how everyone is doing their best to help Freddie as well he pretty much limped to home and was caught by Mookie to help slow down

There was a throw by Hernandez in center in the 5th inning where he changed his mind to throw to 2nd instead of gunning it to 3rd and because of that got in the base runners head and caught him in a pickle.. what a high IQ play..

No, I disagree. He was exaxtly same through Yamamoto in game2 and Buehler in game3. He didn't pull them out until damage is done. He somehow born again and didnt' let that happen since game 4, which is why we are here.

Shohei Ohtani had already surpassed Mike Trout in playoff experience when he made his appearance in Game 4 of the NLDS. Now, after playing in the NLCS, he has come farther in the playoffs than Trout, who only made it till the division series, ever did.

He just came off from two injuries. He only played once in 2024 in the regular season and once in the post season before this game. He had a great 2023 season though. It was risky to play him this game since it he had a short rest and coming off two injuries. It was a bad move. He was clearly off this game.

I don't agree with that. If you take Ohtani's speed into account, it's an easy double by any standards. The recorder should take his foot speed into account.
