That's only a fan's perspective, I'm sure there was a whole lotta confidence in the Dodger clubhouse throughout that Padres series. Also, a bit of a premature conjecture as well... almost over-confidently assuming that this Mets series is a done deal. The Dodgers STILL need 3 more over the hottest club since June. He just came off from two injuries. He only played once in 2024 in the regular season and once in the post season before this game. He had a great 2023 season though. It was risky to play him this game since it he had a short rest and coming off two injuries. It was a bad move. He was clearly off this game.

I don't agree with that. If you take Ohtani's speed into account, it's an easy double by any standards. The recorder should take his foot speed into account.
