Freddie Freeman is always the best mic'd up player. He embraces it and has fun with it. That's why it's fun. This should be incorporated more in games - not for the pitcher on the mound or hitter in the box, but for whoever is fielding at that time.

They probably won’t because this is just the all star game, it’s just for fun and doesn’t mean anything. Regular season games that could have playoff implications are a lot less shenanigans and players taking it more seriously. Plus commentators could accidentally give something away

22:26 Freddie Freeman is a CLASS ACT. His interaction with Mrs. Aaron, damn-near brought me to tears. I'm a Mets fan, but have been in Atlanta all of my life. As an Atlanta native, Hammerin' Hank means everything to us. He is missed. Freddie, Ozzie, and Ronald are making him, and us very proud.

Some of it is fun for the fans though. I am 100 percent against it during normal regular season games, but since the All-Star game no longer even determines home field advantage for the World Series, I enjoy these mic'd up segments. I don't think Bogaerts comes off looking bad, I was the same way when I played in high school, I didn't want anyone talking to me the entire game, but it is cool to see Freeman and Tatis have a little back and forth with the announcer.

Why anyone would agree to have the mic on with Joe Buck in the announcer's box is beyond me. He initiates conversation at the most inopportune moments. Scherzer is in his wind up and Joe Buck wants Xander to call the pitch...
