not really, example is worlds'24 rn in league, G2 is fighting weibo (grand finalist last worlds), T1 (champ last worlds), and BLG ( current favorite for worlds) as well as HLE (#1 seed of korea), meanwhile fly quest and liquid (american teams) only fought wildcard teams (and hle for fly quest) as well as each other to make it out of swiss its pretty obvious though that g2 is the better team, but due to awful luck, they have a worse chance of making it to playoffs (its a great format though don't get me wrong, but luck can still screw you over)

@@ZeldaGamer True. But what I am saying is, you don't often get to have bad games specially if you are a Pro Player. You may lose 1 game, but then for Swiss format you still have chances to recover, even if it is best of 1 for the earlier part. So that is why either you recover from that bad game/match or if they would let it get to them.

Swiss format is the format that CS uses in their majors. I think they play BO3's in the third round. The potential comebacks and upsets would be very high and it would lean to an org vs org battle rather than county vs country since the same country matchup would most likely be unavoidable.

Swiss format -- 16 teams Qualified to playoffs 3-0 = 2 teams 3-1 = 3 teams 3-2 = 3 teams No playoffs 0-3 = 2 teams 1-3 = 3 teams 2-3 = 3 teams

PH teams are strong if there is a lower bracket and its proven and tested. However, if PH will still able to win M6 with swiss format, then Moonton needs to think for a new tournament format. 😁

???? This actually favors ph, even if they face each other, the losing team will go to the other brackets. As long as both PH teams win their matches, It's impossible for them to knock out each other.

+ Even if both PH teams lose in an upset and face each other, They both still won't get eliminated as you need 3 losses to be eliminated in the swiss format, Basically you have 3 lives, PH teams never lost in double elimination (2 lives) what more if you give them 3
