Still a fantastic band now. Songs are even better. Immortal Bind, Eternal Warrior, etc. Nuclear Blast just released and English version of some of their best songs! Can’t get enough. Love Loudness but I going with Anthem overall.

I cannot believe that these guys weren't a mega hit in the US. They have incredible onstage energy, and their music is as hard as anything Judas Priest put out in the 80s. They're the perfect blend of heavy metal, speed metal, and glam metal.

Yup! Well said They did have relative fame in California in 1986-1988, but outside of that, they've never been big outside of Japan
@theclawyaww37402 жыл бұрын
If they kept Graham Bonnet and made songs with English lyrics they would be big

OMG you have Anthem too? You're the best. I think I might have bought this concert on VHS about a hundred years ago, and it cost an absolute fortune, lol.

Eizo was a powerhouse even when he was somewaht tired, but the main thing is how this band never made it that big? Their talent and raw power are more than evident but then again, that's just me being a fan boy...

I honestly don't know either..

I am totally on your side.I mean I know what you mean.In those days I was sure Anthem would be another Loudness but they lost a chance to be so. In 1987 I was really fascinated by them but the spell was suddenly broken when Eizo left the band.

@@arrowwaterable8008 if anything I actually prefer Morikawa in style just slightly but Sakamoto was so fucking good as well like Those first three albums and the many he made after the rebirth of Anthem are eternal classics As are all the other albums!
@Moua2 жыл бұрын
@@MLBFCollection I love them both too but Morikawa had a heavier voice which gave Anthem that extra UMPH they needed
@1shoryuken Жыл бұрын
This band was blessed with not having one but two of the greatest heavy metal vocalists in Japan. Eizo and Morikawa are just in a league above everyone in their native land and because of that each era of Anthem just never sounds bad. I haven't kept up with Eizo these days but Morikawa's vocals continue to impress me, especially with how much he has improved English pronunciation.
