I can feel every single emotion listening to this. Every time Ryan felt like he wasnt enough, when he he felt like a failure, when he thought it was all lost. Hes such a unique talent. One of of the highlights of my life was being captivated by him for hours while he performed in Cincinnati.

By far one of the best songs I have ever heard in my life... over the years I keep coming back to it. Ryan Adams may very well be a genius. Words can't describe how much I love this song. This year (2023) I'm going to learn it on guitar.

for people who have personal reasons for loving songs - in May 2012 It had been raining for three solid weeks finally with my new licence and car went to pick up my drunk dad from a country pub - and the journey into the country side i had to sit and wait. the colours in the grass and sky so beautiful - and this song came on and i was just started to click with this album. The grass had little purple flowers, yellow and pink and the grass was green stretched on for miles all changing patterns in the wind and the sun set so beautiful and this was playing as I was driving. Felt so free happy birthday

Love this song. I really relate to Ryan Adams, especially his self-medication story. It's really inspiring to see him on stage, sober, allowing himself to be vulnerable, even though he's clearly uncomfortable. I really hope he doesn't quit, even if it's difficult

Takes me back to those early acoustic tours before the big album dropped. He'd just left Whiskeytown and was running solo. As much as my finances allowed, i followed Ryan's shows and knew I was listening to the greatest songwriter and performer America has produced. He was so funny between songs, playful, as though he was lightweight - and then he'd perform a song that touched your soul. I love Ryan's music so much - which is why I' so pissed off that he's blocked me on Twitter for something I joked about.
