Whenever I listen to this song I can't stop thinking about my brother who built a house for my mother two years ago after she lost hope. She struggled and went through so much raising us as a single mother without a job. She is a strong women and learned to accept and make peace with everything God tests you with. BUT Keep up faith. Before it was complete, my brother experienced problems at work and couldn't finish it. We had to move in to an incomplete house because we had no other place to go to. It was not easy. I did not care how I felt, but I was worried about her and wondering how disappointed and stressed she was as things weren't looking good at all. One day I asked how she was feeling with everything that was happening and she said " Angeke kuhlale kunje, Kuzolunga, Nginethemba izophela indlu". I didn't not even understand where she find so much hope in a very bad situation, with no way forward. Then, six months later my sister got a job, but even then it took her a year to finish it because it was a big house. But at the end it happened and everything is fine now. Let us be happiness and love to our parents. I

While driving my daughter to school this song played on Metro FM and while listening to every lyric I found myself going down memory lane, how I put all my personal desires on hold for 2 years just so I could finish building my mother a house she can proudly call her own, tears started rolling down my cheeks, I then remembered my daughter is in the car and she might not understand why her mom is crying in the morning, I glanced at her as though to not show my puffy eyes and to my shock she was also crying, we locked eyes and she said " Its a beautiful song sisi" as to explain why she was emotional, I swear there are no words to describe the gratitude I felt at that moment, my 13yr old daughter understood the essence of the message in this song. I just wish all the black children of Azania could understand how far our parents have come, they don't deserve slay queens or maphara-phara kids .... we're killing our own parents but I trust things will only get better from this point on.

last time I checked mom have to send me her last saving to register for my bachelor at the university in Namibia... is hunting me as to how much a mother will do what it takes for their kids.. I have a side hustle for my rent and taxi in the city its really tough out here especially when both your parents are illiterate and there's no one to help out... I just snicked in the toilet to study for my licence that I booked for tomorrow... co z I cant do it in the office where everyone is watching. eishhhh and than I came across this song on KZbin. I don't understand the language but it got to me in a way I cant explain... I really pray that this whole tough time will pass and I will get to cherish every moment of being alive and makin it from that village of drinkin from the well and going to school barefoot. God bless children of Africa...

I'm amazed how a song can unite us as Africans, we really need more music like this. I say this because I see people from countries outside of South Africa commenting, and I am sure some don't even understand what is being said, but the impact of the song is so great that it penetrates through the depths of language barrier. it's a song that one feels more than they hear.

This song found me depressed and kinda checking out on life due to a relationship failure forgetting that i left my unemployed struggling mom with my child to study in UJ, It just made me realise that um not here to be depressed by a man but to study so that i can be a blessing to my mom coz um the only daughter she has. Thank you very much sjava for this um really touched and motivated. Sometimes we stress to a point where by we end up forgetting what matters the most

Where has this gem been hiding all these years? Shooo! Not a Zulu speaker but I hear every word because Zulu is similar to my language. Please do not start singing about girls, money and alcohol. Do not stay on Egoli too long go back home often so that you stay inspired to produce music like this. After all, Egoli is where the grind is and home is home.
