Freed from Sin - A Sermon on Romans 6:6-7

Idk if this is quite right either though. How do we separate this from Gnosticism that falsely taught that the body and the spirit were separated? That we sinned in our body but our spirit is still saved? Doesn’t our mind/ heart/ spirit control our body? If the spirit is delivered, the body should be as well. Yes, we have urges but our mind/heart/spirit is in control of that because we have been delivered by Christ. Yes, we are still being sanctified but that doesn’t give us any excuse whatsoever to sin in the body with emotions or urges
