Thank you Lord Jesus Christ. I have not prayed nearly enough, and I’ve been carrying a yoke of spiritual apathy or dullness which is contributing to it. 4 hours of prayer a day - the fact that seems extreme to me now, tells my soul how fallen short I have in my prayer time

Truly I don't pray as I ought. Thank God I heard this tonight and it has pricked my heart to conviction to pray always. I feel that we must turn often, through the day to our Lord for fellowship and guidance in these times of temptation and confusion and evil. Much love to all my brethren in Christ everywhere. I would think it is safe to say that prayer is the state of being constantly attuned to the Holy Spirit as it expresses concerns through us, knowing that we are constantly in the presence of God.

If the Bible admonishes us to 'Pray ALWAYS', '...pray without ceasing', and Jesus tells us that "...men ought ALWAYS to pray and NOT faint"; it would be safe to say that prayer does not officially begin when we on our knees, or in a secluded place. Prayer is an every minute, hour, day, and lifelong exercise, that gives us a clue that we are alive as Christians. Just as the human heart pumps blood through the body as proof of life, so is prayer in the life of the believer. You stop praying, you start dying as a believer.
