This arcade game is now a slot machine in Las Vegas!

I worked in slot machine game manufacturing. I understand how the mathematics work on slot games. Because this is a gaming machine with monetary prizes, there are 2 separate RNG’s that are being called. The first RNG determines the prize value that the player can win. The higher values are weighted less than the smaller prizes. The second RNG determines the claw strength. Most likely, the strength will be less if the first RNG determines that the prize you’re playing for is high.

I think its not so much claw strength as it seems to always at least grab a ball. When you see it coming up at various times when it drops the ball you can see the claw slightly open to drop it. I think the RNG just decides "win/lose" on the claw and drops losses and carries wins. Either way it is definitely not a skill game and makes no difference where you grab or position the claw.

They brought two of these claw machines into the Pechanga casino, they were gone after two weeks. I never won anything on the machine; and watched every person loose as well. The claw always dropped the ball right before the basket. Glad you made a video showing that it does actually pay.

All those claw machine games are rigged. I know this guy that fixes any kind of arcade machines or slots or whatever and he's told me that in all the claw machines there is different settings for the claw and also settings to make sure that a prize is won after x amount of losses. I'd never play on them.
