This is also known as the "Envelope Method". Breakdown your total bankroll into 5 even amounts. After a bonus win, you take your total ticket, print and place it in an envelope. Rinse and repeat for each 5 amounts. In the long run, this is the only way to come out ahead on a consistent basis.

One thing I notice about the Cleopatra machine, because I play it often at Foxwoods in Connecticut, is that it doesn't seem to want to hit bonuses when you are on Max bet but when you were on Lower denominations it hits all the time

On the lantern game the dragon bonus you choose between 2 dragons. For hold and spin or free games. Free games can be 6, 9 or 15 with extra wilds 25, 100, or 200. The one with the room is the Sahara one with the Scorpions … Maybe one of your 5 tickets you should do similar machines next to each other to see how long it takes to get a bonus.

I'm no expert . . . however I do prefer the method of not continuing to feed a losing machine. I say set a limit ($1,000) and if you don't get a bonus or decent win pretty quickly it's time to move on to a different one.
