MLP Containment Records (HALLOWEEN SPECIAL)

I got a few common questions while making this project, so let me answer the main ones here!
Q: Is this for kids because it’s about My Little Pony?
A: NO! Absolutely not for kids! There is a list of trigger warnings at the beginning of the video to clarify this. It’s a horror and grimdark storyline with blood shown on the screen, along with death and other adult topics mentioned.
Q: Are the ponies in this video your OCs?
A: Almost every pony you see in Containment Records is inspired by an existing MLP character from past generations. A few artists featured my OCs in the background of their frames, but I’ll post about them on instagram later.
Especially Abra, Zipzee, Blueblood, Wysteria, and Lightning. Some of the other main ponies like Twilight, Gusty, and Star Catcher I do consider as OCs by technicality because the colors and name are really all they share with the originals, but less their designs are less distinct.
All human characters in this production are original characters, especially Henry and the Surgeon!
Q: Will there be a second episode?
A: Only if we can get more artists! This episode was a train wreck in production because a lot of artists (and our main editors) dropped out last minute. If enough people enjoy this concept and we get more artists, I’ll make another episode to follow up on my story ideas for Blueblood, dark magic, the escaped pony, and more!

I love that disclaimer at the beginning! Some kids love MLP and get exposed to this stuff completely by accident, looking for content about their favorite show. I know I personally was always specifically looking for this kind of stuff when I was a bit younger, but it’s always good to think about young’ns stumbling upon it, unaware of how dark it is. There’s no need for little boys and girls to be having nightmares they didn’t sign up for.

Revisiting this was super worthwhile, though it does leave me sad, as I'd hoped there'd be another episode by now. Dude I was just trying to find something to watch and do a reaction to when I realized that I still had this video saved to my please watch this playlist. Having no expectations at all it was pretty much normal for about 2 minuets then all of a fricken sudden you are pulled out of rhw world you were just introduced to in confusion and wonder. I love subversions like this that completely take you off guard with a cheery set up only to take it away mere moments after. And after that I was hooked, like really hooked. I was invested the whole entire time. With each new character introduced I had myself wanting to know what the character was all about. Every character was extremely interesting and had me engaged the whole time. Henry is just absolutely amazing and the best guy to exist and the stuff with subject 150... BRAVO! Knowing nothing about subject 150, except they were dangerous was such a good move to contribute to the part of the special where twilight now knows they had a past together. It gets me to feel like the character inst just a killing machine and is expertly done here. I also love how you showed subject 150 ripping the arms of a human before you know who that pony is. Its very noticeable and makes the experience that much more enjoyable. And that moment 150 walked out that door was pure fantastic. I loved every second of this wonderful 40 special you have created. While I'm sad to see there is no continuations I see that the comment from the top says that it will be continued if it gets 20k views... WE GOT 20K VIEWS HERE! If this does get continued, just know I am incredibly hyped and ready to stick with this till the finish. Great work to everybody who worked on this magnificent project.

I really liked it! I do think, however, that some voice actors could be coached a bit more? Some spoke so fast that I couldn’t understand what they were saying. Some lines sounded like the first take. The mad scientist near the beginning is an awesome character! Love the voice!!! But the crazy scientist voice needed to have more *control* I couldn’t understand a lot of his lines. I had to turn on closed captions for the rest of the pilot because it was hard to understand them ;v; I rlly love their designs and clearly there was a lot of work put into this! The voices were just kinda all over the place. Timing, volume, delivery. ❤️

Thank you! I appreciate it a lot when people give us constructive feedback we can grow from 👍💕 I’ll keep this in mind when we are editing in the future. The main reason there were issues this time around is that the original editor of the project ditched us last minute with a lot of the work unfinished, so when we discovered some lines should be reread, at that point in production we didn’t have time to fix everything because the editor never told us. But I do plan to try to make all of the voices more clear in the future, especially for the human characters. Again- I really appreciate the feedback! This is very interesting. Kinda makes you think metaphorically of what's really going on behind the scenes. I look forward to see what the next episode is going to bring. The only nitpick I have is with the police (guards?) Is that one moment they were ponies then the next they're humans. To me it was confusing and a little distracting, but that's just it.
