It's a shame I discovered this show very late, around 2014-16. Even then, it has been a very important part of my life when I was young. I remember my every single search was about MLP and started with the words "MLP" I couldn't stay one day without watching or thinking anything MLP related. It was the only source of happiness for me. I joined many social media and my username was "Sweetie Heart MLP" on every community I joined. I have over 30 OCs and wrote many fan stories about them. I have a passion for digital arts and I remember how I used to draw ponies to practice, I have became who I am now 'cause of MLP. My arts improved and now I'm a better person. I can't believe it's been 2 years already since it ended... Now my interest for MLP has started to slowly fade, I completely stopped watching it now but after a post on Insta, I decided to rewatch it again from the beginning. And I haven't watched season 9 yet, I know it would hurt- I've met many great friends and I'm thankful for it. Mlp was my childhood. Back then when we didn't have wifi and I had to go to computer cafes to watch youtube, I stumbled upon mlp and couldn't stop watching them. If you think about it, this isn't really the end of the show, it's just the beginning of another cycle. A student is struggling with a problem so they come to their teacher for advice. The teacher sends the student to a new place and student makes friends and they and their friends go on many adventures together. Just like twilight at the beginning of the show

Three years ago, a young man began to see nothing but darkness and despair in the world around him. It is fun to see grown men cry. When I was growing up it was something that was rarely seen. By the time, highschool hit, boys my age weren't afraid to show their love for the series and like the same characters as us girls, regardless of the fact that we all were in highschool, too. This song is the PERFECT coronation for this wonderful Generation of MLP. We saw all those characters grow into the best version of themselfs. Looking at them for the last time is like saying farewell to a part of your family. I shed tears throughout the whole song, just as I did while watching this video. But when Twilight sang... Oh, and how I USED TO WONDER/WHAT FRIENDSHIP COULD BE The same words we heard from her since the beginning of the show... since the first episode, 9 years before this finale... the words we heard for more than 200 episodes... Well, that's the moment where my heart, my mind, my everything, gave up. I started crying and sobbing like it never happened before while watching a show! And then, that wonderful, harmonic choir, the Mane 6 with the secondary characters we learned to love, the new generation of the Elements bearers starting their journey under the loving gaze of the Mane 6 and Spike THAT BOOK, the one that opened at the very beginning, now closing. A book which started with a story of two regal sisters who broke apart, now ending with an unprecedented harmony spreading across Equestria and beyond... Everything is perfect, except for one thing: this marks the end of the BEST Generation of MLP. Nothing will be good enough even to compare with G4... and frankly, G5 isn't even trying to be at least a little deep and touching like G4. Sadly, there's no more people like Faust, Larson, Haber, or like anyone of the wonderful, passionate guys that worked on G4 as writer, storyboarders, animators and voice actors... I'm sad for the new generations of children which will never experience a show like this! *THANK YOU MLP FIM!*

Come back to this to take back what I said in my last comment. G4: My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, is the MLP that I grew up with. The story, characters, the lessons, the messages and the growth has made a huge impact in my life as through them that help me get through a lonely childhood, helping me make friends. They have always been by my side. Since then I'm a huge MLP fan and I'm not afraid to show it to the world. Seeing the finale makes feel nervous and anxious for it means saying goodbye to the friends that I have been by my side, like saying farewell to a best friend and not knowing when will see each other. But I will always hold them close in my heart, all the lessons, all the friends and all the memories. And I know that this isn't goodbye, it's see you later, cause I know we'll see each other again. With the G5: My Little Pony A New Generation now up, I beginning to open up to it for they have that same vibe and feel of G4 in it. Despite the changes, I see similarities behind them, the ponies, the songs, and lessons. Even the original score music of the new MLP has that reminiscing sound that foretells of the past G4, a nostalgia, enchanting ancient warm feel everytime you hear it. I'm getting the feeling I'm gonna love it. And if the creators are planning a connection between the 2 generations, I'm looking forward to it. Whether it's time travel, cameo or having the young gen discover about their predecessors past, then I am all in. Till then, Thank you Mane 6 and G4. For all the friendship you have thought us over the years. You'll forever be remembered. And welcome, New Generation G5. Friendship really is Magic
