The spell is probably easy to repel "pasively", either if the target is unaware of it or non-compliant with the idea [D&D rules: "Will Saving Throw"]. In this case Bliss actually wanted to become a dragon. Good examples of this "Alteration" spells in FiM can be found at the start of both "Feeling Pinkie Keen" [S1E15] & "The Best Night Ever" [S1E26]; were Twilight needed both Spike and the mouses to be aware and not distracted for her the reshape their clothes [leaves into a tuxedo], or their bodies. Something similar may had happened in "Bats!" [S4E07], since the transformation done in the vampire fruitbats was probably a reshape of their brain structures (rather than a more temporary "Ilusion" spell afecting their minds); that was partially transfered to Fluttershy in an uncontroled manner [then later her own pony magic changed her body and cutiemark, progressing as a magical disease like the cutiepox].

You know what happens when you get Aeon involved with anything. You kind of invited that onto yourself. A direction you could have gone would have been to involve Teric. He's a dragon that seems mostly capable of suppressing his natural dragon instincts. He could have given you some pointers. Though I wonder if there is also a psychological difference between bipedal and quadrupedal dragons.

You know, Lightning Bliss, I actually found a Fimfiction where Fluttershy is actually an ancient type of warrior ponies called "Dragonlords", their versions of Dragonborn, except for not stealing souls, but they have stronger bodies, can be in fire and not get hurt, even speak and read the dragon language fluently. It's a pretty good story and there's even a sequel and a couple of side stories.

First off I am loving Aeon more and more with each episode he is in. Second, I like your thoughts on kindness because in my job space there is one employee who is so mean around me. She can't be like this all the time but I believe it's because of how she was raised. And while I show my efforts of being kind and keeping angry thoughts of her to myself, she still comes at me with her rude ways. Also I have an aunt who doesn't believe in the whole quote "Kill people with kindness," the world just doesn't want it, especially if it comes from me. My guess on why there are so few adult dragons: The Dragon Lord only really rules over the children/teenage dragons, while the adults are normally in solitude from other dragons. That, and usually dragons age fairly slowly, and some don't make it to a very old age, thus grown-up dragons are usually fairly rare.

Personally, I think Season 6 in general was generous in terms of Spike episodes/moments - Starlight Glimmer and Rainbow Dash also had a good run in Season 6, but there was just something so... gratifying seeing Spike at his absolute best in "Gauntlet of Fire," "The Times They Are a Changling," and "Dungeons and Discords." The review is great! I just feel like perhaps more could have been talked about Ember. She's lovely and has a pretty strong personality! Not to mention that out of all the dragons, she's the one who could see things through in the most logical way and act accordingly, which show a good amount of wisdom on her part. Aeon does seem to have a bit of an ego. But more often then sometimes, he can be funny as hell. So it makes up for it. XD He's definitely one of my favorites. Also; Smaug has a voice that can potentially change a guy's sexual preference. I'm not saying that mine was changed (last I checked I liked women.) But damn! That voice is fucking awesome.

I can understand it being hard to control yourself. But with enough time being in the dragon form as long as possible is not destroying anything. There are ways to control the greed Within the dragon state. In this case practice being a dragon for a while until you get used to controlling the greed inside of the Dragon.
