True- but usually the characters aren't being hunted down by a microscopic zombie type organism that can strike pretty much anywhere at anytime and from anybody. So it makes sense to be afraid and scared in the other stories- usually.

This gets really bad when you realize that in the next generation is could easily be attached to this. Magic is gone without the crystals, and uniting them requires friendship amongst unicorns, pegusi, and ponies. There’s also a hint of the carousel with the lantern Sunny has, a light in the middle (that later has weird friendship rainbow stuff in it) and the wooden, hairless ponies on the stands around it. Which means that Luna and Celestia are dead, and Twighlight and her friends made the crystals to preserve magic, but later begs the question: What happened to Twighlight (who is immortal while her friends aren’t)? Is Opaline a continuation of turning ponies into alicorns gone wrong? Why would ponies split up the crystals if it keeps magic working? Which could also explain the “earth pony magic” in the show (which I don’t hate since it kinda tackles the power imbalance of flight, magic, and… walking) as the collective friendship amongst types of ponies generates more magic compared to just a small six-pony carousel.

My point of view. Both Celestia and Luna are cowards. Sacrificing ponies theyve built friendships with, and many of them just to keep themselves and magic alive. A good leader/princess would sacrifice themselves. (Dont come at me if i dont fully understand, i aint seen all of MLP)

I enjoyed this story so much! It's the 1st non infection story on this channel and that says something about the RARITY of these unique stories. I say the story is wonderful and quite enjoyable. I didn't really notice any spelling mistakes tbh, thought it was all fine and dandy even the story writing. I on the other hand screwed up a lil bit by misreading several words. Hear me out with this. And know I’m using no logic so don’t try to correct me in the comments. I think….that… the reason twilight still had a mental state of mind is because. The Carousels are meant to keep alicorns alive. Maybe not just Luna and Celestia. So if we use that logic. Isn’t twilight an alicorn? So if the carousal is keeping her alive. She’ll technically never turn into wood or anything like that. Now don’t correct me because I know I’m probably wrong. But as long as the carousels keep the alicorns alive. Twilight will never die. So she’ll stay there for as long as the carousels continue. Centuries of watching ponies die. Unless Luna stops it. Which I hope she does. GO LUNA!!!! But the reason Luna was probably so surprised to see twilight alive was probably because they weren’t thinking. They have probably never done an alicorn before. They probably weren’t thinking “hey…. We’ve never done alicorns….maybe we shouldn’t?” They were instead probably thinking. “OKKK! LETS GET THIS OVER WITHHH! SLAYYYY!!!!”

Okay I finally understood this okay okay so for explanation Basically, the magic needs to come from friendship of the ponies and the carousel takes that magic and runs it through equstria. Long story ish: luna and celestia’s mom gave them to starswirl but one day magic in equstria would slowly stop, no magic no sun no moon no nothing so all magic gone thats why its called friendship makes magic now its a carousel in the case rainbow,rarity,pinkie,fluttershy,apple jack all go on the bottom where the horses are now that space at the top is the element of magic so basically twilight sits there like it explained they harden into wood twilight gets in and out of the coma but yeah, that magic depending how big the friendship bond is, they provide all magic in every single ponies body and in equstria but im guessing multiple work for the whole of the land as they last a long time and they most likey build more carousels theres not enough to finish this but yeah most likey the end they find out they killed ponies.

I really like this comic because it breaks out of the usual "raahhh blood gore and death" mlp grimdark stuff. The gore has a purpose instead of being pizza cutter horror, all edge with no point. The gore isn't the main event, it actually tells a story and focuses on developing that while the gore is there simply as an aspect of the story. The "villains" aren't your typical "hehe I'm insane and love killing people" grimdark antagonists, they were cornered into doing something they don't want to but deem necessary, and they are suffering because of it, everyone is having an all around bad time and that makes it more impactful than "I just want to kill because it's fun" It's rainbow factory if it was actually good

i don't know, im not really entirwly down with this celestia depiction, even if not intentional. It's messed up Luna was on the plan before Celestia, and yet Celestia is 'the face' of it and gets slander. I feel if Celestia was put in a situation like this, she would definitely find a way and not just continue doing it for years not doing anything about it. I know not all AU's are close to the material, even if it tries to be. But it's really sad Celestia has be called "Mean","Cruel","Manipulative" or what not, when in canon shes is a really kind and silly pony.

Oh I certainly I agree I don’t really like celestia slander. I’ve actually grown to love her through writing this comic. I did based it off the idea of her being a morally gray villain. She’s written to be in a really messed up trolly problem. I have nothing but love for Celestia and hurt when people don’t look at her deeper than the surface of her actions. I try using a lot of visual storytelling to express her inner emotions.

I think Luna was on board with it because starswirl and his friends wanted to do it, it was their choice. And it was supposed to be temporary only. Celestia mostly complains that starswirl is "being selfish" by leaving her and luna alone to rule/deal with it. It makes total sense that Luna would not want to do this to random ponies, and that Celestia would overcompensate as she's the one in charge now
