As for Tracey being a descendant of the Apple family; I'm still head cannoning the royal family of Zephyr Heights are descended from Flurry Heart (and maybe Pound Cake).

Tracy Tailspin looks like a descendant of Big Mac and Sugar Belle, especially when you see that little foal they have in The Last Problem

It's amazing seeing one of the artists from the Sonic Comics also work on MLP, though maybe that's because Sonic and MLP are the only IDW comics I read so far, plus I've fallen behind on the Sonic ones anyway, and I've never known where to start with MLP. when I first got into Sonic IDW comics, MLP IDW had been going on long enough that there's a lot. I try to use the app but while buying them through it is easy, reading these digital versions is a lot harder because the app is .....let's just say less than perfect, so hopefully I see this comic at the bookstore I been buying these from.

I might tend to look at the Slammers as something akin to Cobra Kai from The Karate Kid; all about arrogance and reputation. They're sabotaging Sunny's efforts because they want to be the *only* roller derby team in town. We may yet see this to be their downfall as it was with Ms Cinch in Friendship Games.

I'd loooove to see you talk more about G5, especially the shows. I'd sure you'd bring in a lot more intelligence and good faith critique than a lot of G5's critics have.

I'd seen images of Tracey Tailspin floating around a little recently, not knowing who she was. Now I do... and I'm definitely going with the headcanon that she's a descendant of AppleDash. As for how the two produced a foal? Well, even ignoring whether it's possible through regular magical means, they ARE friends with Discord, remember? All it would take is him to simply mention the idea of Applejack (I think she'd be the most likely to want to carry the foal, so Dash doesn't have to take too much time off from the Wonderbolts, since they've got plenty of help at the farm thanks to Sugar Belle and her and Big Mac's son (I'm sadly having to decide they chose to have a foal AFTER Granny Smith, Grand Pear and Goldie joined Bright Mac and Pear Buttercup in the afterlife (unless their foal was among the Wonderbolts Dash flew with during The Magic of Friendship Grows)) having a bun in the oven after the two talk about wanting a foal and, poof, AppleDash baby without any questions as to how two mares could produce a foal.

I had the idea that Tracy might be a descendant of Applejack's from the moment I laid eyes on her. Not by her appearance, by her similar personality. Never got the idea that she might also be descended from Rainbow Dash. Her and AJ's relationship is just a theory as far as we know. Even if they did get together, there's no way they could make babies together. More like Tracy could Big Mac and Sugar Belle's great-great-great-great granddaughter or something.

An easy thing to do on names is, even if you don't want to do exposition with them, just have name bars underneath the characters to apply that sense of identity. And the Slugger's attitude, which you said you agreed with at the start before they started getting really hostile, reminds me of what Joshscorcher/Commander Firebrand said: You can be right, but wrong at the top of your voice.

I greatly prefer the static look over the smooth one. The smooth one just looks fake and like bad animation. With static sprites it looks far more natural.

Well, Elder Flower's ramblings in MYM Ch5 did make us question the timeline yet again, so it's likely been around 200-300 years between generations, though feel free to ignore that in your fanfics. 😅 (Heh, I remember when we first got the implication that that first three seasons of FiM happened within one year.)
