Great episode. Great to see Coach Lawrence talk about USA Rugby. So happy. Great to hear Clarkey as well. My 3rd Great Grandpa left Irish Famine and was himself and Ulsterman. Heading to see my RFCLA vs SD. That 6 point spread is extremely gracious. First away game with oak seeds.

Saying you had three "great" grandfathers is just bragging a bit too much. Were all three "great?" Probably not. 🤔

Did Scott Lawrence say the Eagles are going to play Scotland in Chicago?

Yep, if it wasn’t for the Australian billionaires Rupert Murdock and Kerry Packer, rugby will still be amateur today. The British who has control of the game had no choice but agreed to have to FINALLY go professional (after being elitists/snobs and keeping the game amateur for 100 years) because the top rugby players were getting paid to play for rugby league clubs in the 90’s.

There’s a great series called ‘code breakers’ It’s about the Welsh players going up ‘North’ They weren’t even allowed in their old Rugby club houses. Only during WWII did the British Union teams allow the League boys in. Insane.
