The kid was the MVP of the Next-Pro national youth competition in 2021, signed by Miami and sent to their development team in 2022 and then promoted to the first team this season after Miami suffered a bunch of injuries. I was lucky enough to attend this game... I don't think the stadium was ready for the sheer influx of people that Messi attracted. His supporters, especially whenever he got a touch, easily outcheered the FC Dallas fans. People were even booing the FC Dallas players during the PK's. Everyone, even lots of FC Dallas fans, went wild after Messi's free kick, throwing beer and jumping up and down. What a crazy atmosphere, and what a guy.
