Super video, super clear and super workflow ! When I'm watching your video I was wondering "I see, i know this method but I don't make it - instead I'm gonna model everything ! For example : the mountainse- etc... and loose so much time. We can't make everything and you remind me that we have to be smart and clever to tell our stories and messages in our works. Thanks (and i'm gonna on your patreon right now )

Thank you, this is exactly the sort of video I’ve been looking for for a while! How would you go about a shot that transition from atmosphere into space? I’d love to see more scenes on how to make realistic large scenes!
@mlt-studios6 ай бұрын
Is that one continuous shot, or does it cut in between?
@joelmulder6 ай бұрын
@@mlt-studios In a continuous shot. I think with cuts, it wouldn’t be that hard using the method you show in this video. You’ve gotta find some high altitude photos, but those exist. I’m imagining a shot where you’re following a rocket up through the atmosphere. It’s overkill to model an entire planet, but I don’t think static images would work either. Especially because as you look up, the atmosphere has to fall off above you.

5:25 This sky and the one that comes after it are gorgeous. Any chance you could post a google drive link to a folder with all your skies, or links to the original images?
@mlt-studios6 ай бұрын
I’ve gathered them over years, so finding links to all of them ist not possible. But as I mentioned in the video, I got most of them from pixabay or pexels. Just look for “landscape” “clouds” or whatever, to find something that works. There is so much to chose from

I'm a professional video editor with some very basic 3D knowledge. What would you recommend as a starting point to learn how to do stuff like this? Is there specific courses you'd recommend?

Thanks your Idea so good I sometimes make flying scenes, but I'm always worried because the background doesn't seem to move. What's the difference between a Sphere and a plane object? I want to create a dynamic flight scene, but how can I make the background look moving?
@mlt-studios6 ай бұрын
You can move the background a bit, liked I talked in the video about. But more important is to have something in the foreground moving past the plane. I mostly use a volume shader controlled by a noise texture to add some small faint clouds. You can see that in both my plane scenes mentioned in the video

I have a gtx 1070, so you have a way better setup then I have. A step by step tutorial is very hard, because it takes me days to complete these kind of animations. But I’m planning on upgrading more in depth tutorials on my Patreon in the future
