Thanks for sharing this rare video. Pippen was sensational~! MVP of the game!

watching mj do those one-handed rebounds just amazes me. freakishly huge hands gave him uncommon control of the ball. and a nice dunk early in the game...lol.

I believe that one of MJ's motivational factors for this game was the fact that he did not like Reggie Theus at the time. This has been well documented (read the Jordan Rules). Supposedly the reason MJ didn't like Theus was because Reggie dated MJ's wife back in the day. MJ is a great competitor & he always found something to motivate him to play well LOL!!!

bill cartwright was a solid scorer when he first entered the nba! he was hit with a lot of injuries in the mid-late 80's that hampered his game. but even when he came to the bulls, he provided a huge inside presence that anchored their defense, especially in the playoffs against ewing. cartwright was crucial to the bulls beating the knicks in the early 90's

89 was an awesome year in the NBA.

Wow, never seen this one before. That jam by MJ over that dude was awesome, and did you see how far Pippen took off from on that breakaway dunk? What people should take note of is what a fantastic shooter Jordan was even by this age (age 26), especially in the 12-21 foot range. Just automatic.

I think it should be noted in mlynch's video description, that Jordan has 11, 49-point games...no one else in modern basketball is close.

Thanks for the another great game! That MJ putback dunk was cool - he beat all 5 Magic players for that rebound.

A testament to the Bulls' talent. Jordan kills you to get a big lead, and while you think you're coming back cuz Jordan's on the bench, Pippen starts making plays.

Nick Anderson with some nasty stuff. Pip was crazy!

They respect Jordan's penetration more than his jumper. Many time they stood far away from him and have enough time to get close to Jordan ,but they didn't do that finally.
@jordanlover2316 жыл бұрын
Jordan actually had 12 games of 49 points. I just counted. One was in the playoffs, though, so maybe he didn't count that. You can check how many 48 pt games at michaeljordanworld(dot)com(slash)gamebygame

Can someone please explain to me how Bill Cartwright reached the NBA? Im not even sure his good enough to play some second division basketball team from Iceland.

Yeah that's all I see. Nick Anderson was a rookie here. He was picked 11th in the 89 drarft by Orlando. I don't recognize anybody else. LOL.

damn, Nick Anderson before he became a spot-up shooter.

Now you see why Jordan was riding cartwright's ass, all of the time back then!..Missing all of those damn lay-ups against the pre-shaq Magic. lol!

actually, pippen had 8 steals and 3 blocks, but yeah, he probally was one of the best defenders in the perimeter.....along with His Airness of course...

I don't need your point. I know the new 1990 Magic team's defense is not good, that's all. I saw many worse defense on kobe than this. People could judge his moves .

...is it just me, or does anyone else notice that the defence is just pathetic in this game? You would NEVER see this shit in a normal game these days.. Jordan was left with like 4 feet of room on almost every shot. I don't mean to say that Jordan isn't the best to play the game, but that is just pathetically easy defence. No wonder Jordan only played 25 minutes with that pressure... holy fuck that's weak.
