@@ministermadden Even if what you say is true - it isn't - the simple truth is that consoles, as a form factor, are dying and irrelevant. There is a reason why Sony is moving away from the Consoles sold metric to the MAU metric MS uses. And it is largely the same reason XBox earns far more profit than PS - Ponies don't buy Sony games. Put another way - Sony would figuratively kill for MS and its XBox eco-system because like any good business, they care about profit. And that is something Xbox has and PS doesn't. The PS outselling the XBox is irrelevant because it doesn't matter how many consoles Sony sells if they don't make a profit. And PS does not. But consoles is all Sony has, whereas MS has console, PC, Cloud, Phone, TV, Stick, etc.

@@ministermadden Still doesn't change the fact that Consoles are dying and the PS is fading. The XBox eco-system is multi-plat but PS is console only. What happens in ten years when consoles are gone and both XBox and PS are PC/mobile based apps? Anyone boasting about PS console sales is rooted in the past and not looking at the future. And the future is Green. PS simply doesn't have the money to build the infrastructure or supply the content needed. Which is why Sony is focussing on TV, movies and anime with gaming now a much lower priority.

First, its a 3rd party doing it Second, if anything, Sony and the PS has been copying MSs design and creeping closer to it every iteration. Leaving aside the worthless haptic gimmickry, the main difference now is the asymmetric controls of the Xbox controller which many find more comfortable than the symmetric system used by the PS.

The xbox brand is completely ruined. They quite possibly have one of the worst decision-making teams in the entire gaming industry. Xbox itself has made it clear there is NO reason to own an Xbox console. Even if they drop a new console in 2026 a year or two before PlayStation it won’t give them a first movers advantage. Hardcore gamers know how pointless it is to own an Xbox. And casual gamers have spent the last two generations buying into the PS ecosystem. The Xbox naming conventions also make it hard for casual gamers to recognize which console is the “New” one. It would take nothing short of a miracle to bring the Xbox brand back
