The soccer kicks and stomps are also illegal in Brazilian MMA. I think only Japan still allow these two moves. Wanderley "Mad Dog" Silva made Pride history with these moves.

A few observations: 1) you won't get en axe through class IV armour, but many cheap out on the side plates, which means that even a knife may go through 2) the lying opponents were supposed to be injured AFAIK 3) I haven't seen a collapsible batton with which you can thrust. They are not locked but rely on friction. 4) it wasn't supposed to be a shoulder dislocation, but a neck break and if you curb stomp someone in the jaw, this might very well happen. The Seagal version is however next to impossible even for a strongman! BTW: you're not just up against the joint itself but quite strong muscles while using muscles that aren't your strongest...

Right, but Gamology doesn't tell the expert that. They don't provide any _context_ for what the expert is seeing, which on the one hand prevents giving the experts preconceived notions, but on the other hand I still think it's a mistake.

@ethankaryadi372 жыл бұрын
@@monkeyboy275bobo8 that wasn’t my point at all. Think of most of the popular “self-defense” moves people suggest to you. Groin strikes, foot stomps, eye gouges, joint manipulation, and scratches to the face. There is a chance that they won’t work on everyone. If anything, it might make some people really angry and really angry people are not gonna quit the fight. I’m arguing against groin strikes because they won’t always work 100% of the time, especially when the intended target won’t stop moving and is too ticked off to call it a day. A better alternative would’ve been to get into a position where the person is on the ground and restrained. Position and control are things that not many “self defense” classes teach, but they are commonly found in the one combat sport that gets you a scholarship (wrestling).
@monkeyboy275bobo82 жыл бұрын
@@ethankaryadi37 Sure wrestling is great but i can use the same argument. You cant be sure it wins you a fight and might just piss of the other guy. No single move has a 100% success rate but a groin strike can very well put a person on the ground and out of the fight just as a solid takedown does but if the guy has a good size advantage you probably dont want to shoot for a doubleleg especially when other people might get involved. Dick kicks and eye pokes are a good option to quickly incapacitate people but you need to know how to fight in the first place which includes grappling and striking

I used finishing moves far more often on people after I downed them with a gun first, it's fairly difficult to pull off when they're still standing up and this is all assuming their teammates don't gun you down first. Stun grenades may help since it slows people down to a crawl but again, assuming their teammates aren't shooting at you. It's all style points. I have noticed that some finishing moves are slightly faster than others and some are straight up slowed down when playing online, so if you are going to use finishing moves, go with a quick one
