Yo Tim really has no idea that he only rocked Yoel because he illegally held yoels gloves and rocked him, which led to like 8 bombs, which Yoel somehow survived. So I say the stool time makes it even. Annnnd he lost. He never admits to holding Yoels glove though, I think most people just never noticed it despite how obvious it was

He's right on how you turn it on. You don't. you just fight. Anyone that has engaged in combat sport competitively at any level knows you just do it. Fear isn't even really a factor. If you do it long enough to become ranked you tend to fight the same guys and some you prefer not to fight, but you do anyway if you have to because that's what you do. You understand quick that there are always style mismatches and even levels so beyond that you can't control you just go in there, fight and do your best

If you have a hard time respecting Tim then Tim is not the issue...you are a COMPLETE idiot that is oblivious to what character is....Tim goes to Afghanistan just weeks ago to free thousands of people, and DID, risking his LIFE and losing being there for his wife...his children...all to help rescue people trapped over in Afghanistan, and succeed....and then just return stateside and move on to next.....the man did more for others in that one week than you will in your entire life....so if you can't manage to "respect" the man....then you aren't one yourself...you're just a hillbilly moron that somehow has missed out for all these years on exactly how character works. I'd say it's pretty "genuine" of someone to act caring...and then risk your own life because you care about people. That rescue mission by the way, was paid for in large part by one of his friends, from personal money, who took out a second mortgage on his house in Virginia to pay for the fuel for the first four planes that left Afghanistan carrying hundreds of people per trip....saving about 12000 to 15000 human lives that were 100% going to be killed by the Taliban if left in country....and if you watch some other KZbin channels, you'd know that the people that WERE left in Afghanistan ARE being killed, beheaded, shot in the head, tortured and raped once Americans were completely gone..it was only a few of Tim's friends and others, about a dozen people overall, that put together the whole rescue mission and pulled it off....on second thought...you're completely right to not respect this man...I mean....what kind of man pulls the gloves of another fighter in an entertainment sport when in survivor mode mentality, but then goes on to risk his life for no pay, no reward, only to save people he doesn't know personally.....or you're the jerk.

I like Tim but I think that's his fighter's ego that can't get over it, especially when he was so vocal about it after the fight. But CLEARLY he grabbed the glove and that's what allowed him to almost ko Romero. Idk what would have been the best call here... A point deduction for an almost fight ending foul seem silly, but should he have been DQ'd?

Tim Kennedy was impressive for how limited of a fighter he was. I think if he ever made it a bit further in his UFC career he'd have hit a wall though. He lost to Rockhold, Jacare, Gastelum, Romero (albeit controversial to Romero). All more dangerous fighters and better athletes, Rockhold , Gastelum and Jacare were just more complete too.

You are aware that throughout tims mma carreer he was active duty green beret fighting guys who focused on nothing BUT mma fighting right? In comparison to the guys he was fighting he was basically half in if that and he still made it to where he did.. Dude would come back from deployment and start a training camp. Pretty fuckin impressive he made it as far as he did when you consider how many "carreers" he had at once

@@brooksysdead People all have choices to make. If that's what he wanted to do, then that's what he wanted to do. That's like attending Stanford University majoring in physics while playing basketball and then saying, "Well, I wasn't as good on the basketball court as I could have been because I was majoring in physics, so I had to study much harder than the average athlete." Your teammates and coach won't care. And you can't tell your physics professor, "Well, I could have done better on my exam if I had more time to study, but, being on the basketball team, with all of the practices and traveling, limits the amount of time I can focus on my school work." Your physics professor won't care.

If civilians had any realistic understanding of the incredible hard work, suffering, study, sleep deprivation and undying will to prevail required to make it through everything to become a U.S. Army Special Forces Group member then one would understand that training full time as an MMA athlete doesn't come close. The fact he was a professional warfighter, which is as real as it gets for warriors, and was only a part time MMA athlete, earns him more respect than any other UFC athlete. While his MMA opponents were training full time, getting plenty rest, square meals, Kennedy was fighting a war, sleep deprived, dehydrated, surviving on MREs, watching buddies die in his arms, doing CPR on buddies whose limbs are blown off to try and keep them alive til medivac can arrive just to have them die as the helo is landing, being shot in the plates and catching spall, everything else that is part of war down range, then coming home exhausted, beat down physically, mentally and emotionally, rushing to train for a bout against well sponsored guys whom do nothing else but train year round for MMA and recieve best nutrition, massage therapists, plenty rest, sleep every night, and he still held his own. . . He stepped in 'their' profession, as an amateur/semi-pro and held his own but How many of his UFC opponents could step into 'his' profession as a warfighter and hold their own without being killed or stepping on a land mine and blown a part? Those whom criticize him I'd be very curious to know their outstanding achievements and the insurmountable odds that they've overcome by comparison to Master Sgt Kennedy's.

Everything you wrote has nothing to do with the fact he's lying about almost everything in this video. Nice deflection. Passive ad-hominem attacks don't faze me. I respect his testicular fortitude to go fight in the Octagon - win, lose or draw. What I don't respect is fighting "unfair" fights against poor, brown countries to steal resources under the guise of "freedom", and fighting terrorism.
