That he's better than Gaethje and it's not even remotely close whatsoever. Dustin won 1st rd vs Gaethje and then got caught with a 1 shot KO. Whereas Dustin beat Justin with a systematic breakdown and had him shooting a double leg on the ref.😂😂😂 Their wins are NOT the same.

This is a perfect right size wise for Max . Justin notoriously fights close to his natural weight because he dislikes cutting weight. So size for size they are comparable but it’s a classic power vs volume fight. Max has never felt leg kicks like he has to prepare for. If Max can keep Justin on his back foot like Khabib did we know Justin will get tired. This is a coin flip fight in my opinion.

Dustin’s age was mentioned from fans a lot before fighting Saint Denis. Volk’s age was mentioned before Topuria and granted he lost but not because he’s ‘old’. I think the theory behind the narrative is because they aren’t young anymore they don’t have the same hunger to win, which I’m sure is true for some but not most.

So the only time we've seen Max fight a guy with power is Poirier. And Max got pummeled in that fight but survived, his face was a mess. Gaethjr is the most powerful/skilled lightweight in regards to stand-up (I know this is arguable, but holds lots of truth). I really feel like Max might get KOd in this one.
