mortivoe no she didnt land 45 more "significant" strikes, she landed 45 strikes The UFC stats person labled as "significant" , if you go on their states every strike in the first round was significant. Dont judge fights on UFC stats, how about you actual learn about the sport, UFC stats are bollocks and not what judges are taught a significant strike is.

Nah, 3-2. The score certainly wasn't a 49-46 but the right fighter won. It was still a slight edge to rose then the take down at the end solidified the decision. The weight cut definitely played a factor in match 1, she took way more punishment this time and did well. But at the end of the day, Rose striking was better.

Ki Greene Rose won 1,2 and 5. That is not disputable. Tap strikes aren't considered significant unfortunate for Joanna. Credit to Joanna for targeting the lead leg, solid game plan to inhibit movement. But Rose slipped and tagged her over and over, Joanna's face is case in point. It was a great fight but the better fighter, for now, is Rose.

As the wise Courvoisier the GD Newt once said: Before you take your opponent into deep waters, first make sure YOU don’t get a Cramp. Rose gave JJ more than a cramp at UFC 223.

Hey, it was a great fight and she had the courage to show up to the press conference again, which a lot of fighters wouldn't do. I wanted Rose to win both times, but I'm still a Joanna fan.

It's weird how unaware some of these media guys are of their accents when speaking to, well, 'foreigners' ultimately... or at least how badly they do at re-structuring a sentence if a fighter has trouble understanding them.

The Kowalkiewicz post-fight interview is another example of this. As soon as the fighters no longer need translators they get talked to like they're locals, it's bizarre. :)

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with her answers. In a close fight fighters will usually think they won. It’s hard to tell when you are in it. She felt she won. It happens often. No reason to call her a bad sport.

First criteria for MMA judge scoring from the ABC MMA Rules Committee “Legal blows that have immediate or cumulative impact with the potential to contribute towards the end of the match with the IMMEDIATE weighing in more heavily than the cumulative impact." All other criteria is ignored unless the first criteria is determined to be 100% equal ............. Rose won.

Namajunas did more in the fight. As such, Jedrzejczyk lost. It doesn't matter if Jedrzejczyk and her coaches think she won the fight She lost. Her comment about other fighters "bowing down" to her is insane. Honey ain't the "Queen" no more. LMAO

I'm 120% for thug rose and have never found JJ's attitude pleasant but honest enough to admit that she has a point. I don't know how she didn't win rounds 3-4 on every scorecard easily and honestly 2 and 5 were damn close as well. The comments below reflect a growing trend where mma fans revel in confirmation bias and avoid the uncomfortable cognitive dissonance of challenging their views. If your fighter wins, it's always easy to ignore anything that interrupts that narrative so instead it's about piling on hatred for Joanna rather than verifying what she's saying. There was a HUGE discrepancy in strikes landed and it's uncommon to win a fight after getting wildly outpointed like that. It's a reasonable observation. The judges apparently really valued the power behind Rose's punches.

Did anyone else lol when she said that 'the other fighters are just talking too much and they all jealous of me'. On a more serious note I think that Joana might be able to beat Shevchenko at 125. I say this because unlike Valentina who constantly stands and waits for a counter, Joana actively moves forward with her jab. Valentina is a great striker but she does not evolve as is evident in her fights against Nunes. Furthermore I don't want to hear that valentina beat her three times in muai thai or that Rose beat her so valentina has to beat her. Valentina is not Rose. They fight very differently and frankly I think rose punches harder.

JJ won. 132 to 84 landed. Hard to argue objectively. Subjectively announcers had emotional bias towards Rose and the video replays during the fight were all Rose highlights. Also, It is 100% fair to say her weight management was indeed to blame for first fight. Bring on JJ/Rose 3.

and this is why Rose is the champ. she's still convinced the ko was just a flook and doesn't realize winning 3/5 rounds matters more than throwing more shots. also lets be clear even though she landed more she definitely took more damage. keep those sunglasses on for a couple days.
