I think there are 3 main factors to this. Factor one is Conor is worth millions and doesn’t need to get hit in the face. Reason number two is that leg injury was no joke. Reason number 3 Conor hasn’t been punched or touched in 3 plus years, and this camp may have shocked his system. He may need a true year to get fight ready if that’s what he wants to do.

I don’t agree with Chandler’s career being unrepairably broken; yes it’s true that he missed a lot of real opportunities by waiting around for McG, but should he want to fight someone else in the top 10 this year, for better or worse he has kept his name in the spotlight, he’s still top tier as far as name recognition, plus can bring the action in the cage.
