Something he said lines up with what we saw from Jones in previous fights. He picks something about his opponent to use against them. He beats them at their own best game. In this case, he and his team predetermined that they wanted to use the same kill on Miocic that Miocic used on Cormier. I think, you really have to be confident if you have time to think about stuff like that. It's not a movie, it's real fighting. But Jones has done it time and again and they were planning it for this fight. It didn't work out, but it's crazy that this went into their calculation because that has nothing to do with winning the fight. It's only like bragging rights or something to talk about after the fight.

Aspinall best attribute is his speed, he leaves himself open to get tagged and countered a lot from what I've seen in his fights. Also his conditioning will be a thing as well since hes never seen a rd 3. Jones will more than likely use his distance and leg kicks to neutralize Aspinall speed if they were to fight. The longer the fight drags on would be in Jones favor. If Aspinall doesnt close the distance early hes gonna lose the fight in my opinion. I see Jones winning by UD or KO due to his skill set being too much for Aspinall whose opponents up until this point have been limited.

Watching Jones's eyes darting around the room from MMA journalist to MMA journalist, looking like he's very aware of those who he knows are going to ask the tough question, which will continue to expose what JJ's motives truly are. That is to carefully pick and choose the fights he knows he'll win, while avoiding the FIGHT he knows has the greatest probability of ruining his chance to retire on top, as the undefeated Heavyweight Champion of the world. What Jones doest seem to understand is that by him deliberately steering his career around Tom Aspinal does more to delegitimize his legacy, than actually talking the fight with Tom and showing the courage to put it all on the line for true greatness. Honestly, I think he has more of a chance at beating Tom than Jones does himself. Nothing but love and respect to Jon Jones. God bless you brother.
