Its simple, there's hardly any head movement in the UFC and ilia Topuria is able to exploit that disadvantage. Hes well-rounded and he might rule for a longtime.
@khabibmcgregor53863 ай бұрын
It’s not because of head movement, his boxing is good when combined with his ground threat. Just like how Khabib was dangerous on the ground and made his striking so much more deadly. Now, with ilia, he has a legitimate KO power with really good wrestling compared to others in his division and he decided, let me use my KO power and get insanely good at boxing. Because he doesn’t have to worry about getting taken down and not getting back up. And besides Evloev, no one will wrestle with him as they’re not on his level and guess what, standing up, his striking is far ahead of others due to his technique and KO power and to add cherry on top of it all, he has very good cardio. Most have KO power but zero cardio like Conor McGregor. Ilia seems to have power and legit boxing skills, really good ground game compared to anyone else in his division and insane KO power. And not to mention, his very high fight IQ!
@sbukeli3 ай бұрын
@khabibmcgregor5386 the head movement I'm talking about is that of his opponents. Most of them back up with their chin high and exposed especially when they are cornered. If he was fighting other elite boxers in a boxing match he wouldn't be able to knock them out this easy cause boxers know how to move their heads. It's the same reason why MMA fighters get knocked out in boxing matches and Ilia Topuria is a high level boxer. See how they are unable to catch him clean because he is continuously moving his head too.

It seems like the best time to get into the ufc is young… max did and reached his best years then, so did Connor and Jon jones, now ilia… it seems like getting in younger is the best thing now I know there are examples of others doing great things at an older age but overall and when you look at the best of the best… getting in while you’re young seems to be the best move
