I'm generally not a fan of teenage pop music, but The Party's debut album is probably the best I've ever heard in that genre. It has a real classiness and sophistication that you rarely hear among teen pop acts, and while the members did try to create a certain image for themselves, they never let their music take a back seat to that image.

This song is really throw back my teenagehood! I remember my junior high school friends at that time, my lovely parents that already passed away now, etc.. The Party was a band totally ahead of its time but I think they would have been a lot more successful had they had a clear musical direction. On their albums they would have a bunch of bland teen pop joints then one or two soul gems from Albert. Listening to their albums, it was VERY apparent (to me at least) that R&B was clearly the genre they should have been rooting their sound in.
