Finally fixed this one. Those of you who watched the old version of this video know about the weird audio/video problems it got recently out of nowhere. It's not as bad as what happened to the "I Found Love" music video, which is barely watchable now. That one at least had an update before that happened and before ANNOTATIONS were removed. Remember those? I do. That would've been nice to have right now. Sigh. I used one of those lame card things and the pinned comment option to link to this one. I might unlist those two videos, but I don't want those videos to lose the views they have and the history of them being among the first videos uploaded on this channel. I don't know what to do about those right now. So, I'm just gonna add the view total to this one's description for now. Anyway, this is sort of an upload for Albert's birthday. I wasn't going to do that, but since this was a video that was going to go up for this year's Valentine's Day marathon... I figured I might as well use it for his birthday since it needed the update really, really, really badly, and I really wanted it ready for Valentine's, but I wasn't able to have it ready for that since it needed work and the other stuff planned also needed a lot of work, so I wasn't able to do more for it in time, unfortunately. If I ever do birthday videos again, I'll let you all know. For now this was just an exception.

My mom won front row tickets and backstage passes with a limo ride to The Vanilla Ice to the extreme Tour concert in Providence, Rhode Island back in 1990/91. The Party opened up for him that night, which for a kid who was a big MMC Fan I was thrilled. I’ll always tie this song/video in with that nostalgic experience. Life was so much more simple at 10-11 years of age. Listening to certain songs can be a Time Machine in a way. This is proof. God bless

I feel like The Party was a R&B/hip-POP group trying to be a teen pop outfit. Had they just flat out embraced their true musical inclinations, they would have been far more successful. Albert Fields' magnificent instrument was above most of the stuff they had him singing. I mean really...
@sanonymous98123 жыл бұрын
Absolutely agree, they are all very talented. But grouping them together solely based on them being the oldest at MMC at the time was a gamble. It did pay off, and they made a couple albums. Speaking as a critic instead of a fan, I can feel they don’t mesh that well at times. I always saw DeeDee as a sophisticated, classical singer, Tiffani was perfect for pop, and Albert was on another level entirely. But this song is so fun, I wish I had had more access to their music back them. None of my friend knew them, and I don’t recall hearing them on the radio.
