Which is ironic, actually. Considering Yu is the second most youngest of the Wild Cards, before Joker. The protagonists of Personas 1-2 were all in their early 20s during their adventures. If Makoto and Kotone lived, they'd be in their mid to late 20s by the time Persona 5 happens. Yu would be in his early 20's And Ren was 17 during the events of his game.

It could be reasoned that essentially, the have split the power of the wildcard among themselves, and that's why its power is weaker, but that's just speculation, as they are not confirmed to have the wild card or not have it
