5:15 If you see a vessel aground ahead of you, I recommend not to pass on port side, reduce speed, yes, but better turn around and call Master. It doesn't matter that the vessel came from port side, maybe for her the depths were ok until she grounded, you don't know what draft she had. So, that was a trick question when he asked you which side you pass... the answer is turn around.

That is by practical experience my frnd normally anchor is lowered at speed of 0.5 knots or less

It really depends on the range of vessel because if the vessel is too close then speed reduction is not the answer we also must alter, if the range of the vessel is far then off course we could just slow down and let them pass
