Same ole cheap sandals, shirts and shorts that only fit somebody that's starving sold every where and yet people buy it so that's the problem. I also enjoy the road widening videos if you have those, out in the provincial area's they are widening the municipality roads and then they construct brand new side walks and thats where the trikes now sit because they aren't allowed on the widened roads... nothing seems to change. I never get tired of these videos, I could watch all day long.

The wet market along susano street is full of illegal tricycles & jeepneys. I do believed your blogging is more powerful to get attention the mayor in Quezon City & the concern of local government there. It’s seems to be that the chairman & the police authority looking after that area is tolerating them, it’s descusting. -apparently, the sidewalk is not wide enuff. As you can see people still walk on the streets. Pedestrians are used to walking on streets for decades as sidewalks are occupied by vendors or used as parking for vehicles. Try to observe a few days after ths police exercise. Thanks

I know it would be a pain in the backside but the only way to tackle organised , persistent and aggressive traders like these who have NO regard for the traffic problems they create , pedestrians , utility companies , etc is to go every day or two unannounced and confiscate ALL stalls , structures and stock. It is also clear that the majority seem to be muslims who constantly claim that their religion is SO good and teaches them to act in a good, honest and peaceful way - so much for that pack of lies.

There's nothing wrong with a half face, as long as it has ICC/BPS approval. It's bicycle helmets and skateboard helmets that aren't allowed to be used with a motorcycle.

What memo are you referring to? There's no law that requires a full face helmet to be used. Just a "standard" helmet, which means it has ICC/BPS approval. That's RA 10054

It's hard to make a difference in Baclaran because they have the support of the LGU. My understanding is that it's the Barangay themselves that asked DILG to allow the vendors to stay under the LRT 🤷‍♂️ And obviously you saw what happened with one of the Cities that DILG tried to assist in clearing, a couple of months ago.

They do. The problem is, as soon as you move some illegal vendors to the right place, new vendors take their spots on the sidewalk or road. And in some cases, vendors really don't want to be in the right place. Why operate inside a market, with overheads and rules, when you can just setup outside the market and steal the customers before they even have a chance to go inside.

Here's the thing though, some vendors are highly organized and make it so that people feel like they have no other option. For example, they'll setup multiple stalls in front of a legitimate shop, to make it difficult for customers to reach it, making them more likely to buy from the vendor. Just like what they allegedly did with the jeeps in baclaran. Allegedly blocking and threatening them, so they won't ply the full route. Then commuters are forced to ride the overpriced colorum e-trikes.
