@02:58:00 That's actually an interesting question. I was talking to someone else here on yt about this the other day, playing with that "what if" scenario of EQ never existing etc. I think that if you take EQ out of the equation, in an alternate universe type of scenario, one or two mmos that came before that could have taken the lead and that's Meridian59 and Lineage 1 (and later 2). IIRC Meridian was the first real 3D mmo in a setting similar to rpg-mmo's that came after that. Meridian actually looks and feels a bit like a very early version of the original EQ with its 480p gui / interface and was the mmo that I wanted to try before EQ was on my radar, but was too distracted playing other games back then. After EQ I totally forgot Meridian even existed and only now realize it's still alive, haha! Either that or at some point we might have witnessed an UO mmo or some other asian / korean mmo make its move for mmo domination.

its legit! Hes finally seeing the fruits of his labor - well no money but a release on steam is no joke, well...imo anyhow.

@01:00:10 Yeah, Blizzard and Netease are cooking something together again after dropping the chinese market on PC WoW. Final Fantasy 14 mobile just got announced too and it's coming for China first followed by a global release. FF14 director spoke about prepping for the next decade by embracing mobile (seems like mobile is the future for some folks after all). Wife and I watched the announcement live and she had tears in her eyes when she saw the full blown FF14 experience running on mobile during the teaser trailer. They're not compromising on the visuals, music nor gameplay it seems because visually it looks stunning and gameplay is intact too. Show Whintur the FF14 mobile unveiling and film her reaction to it for us 😅How does this make you feel, what are your thoughts? I can already see WoW capitalizing big time on housing and more on mobile 📲 Do you think auto play will become a thing with these two on mobile?
